Welcome to the British Columbia slackline & highline association

The British Columbia Slackline & Highline Association is the home to slacklining and highlining in the Vancouver, Fraser Valley and Sea to Sky regions of British Columbia, Canada. Coastal mountains of southwestern Canada offer some of the best highlining on the continent, with accessible locations to suit all slackliners skill levels and styles. Come Slackline with us!

What we do in a nutshell..

More than anything, this association unites a community of slackliners and highliners. Call it a Slackline family if you will. But specifically, here’s a shortlist of what we do as association

  • Work with landowners, all levels of government, and private organizations to secure access to Slackline and highline

  • File NOTAMS and work with Transport Canada to make sure all highlines locations are recognized and marked when in use(rigged)

  • Maintain and develop Slackline and Highline areas (location) and help to keep trails in decent shape

  • Inspect, replace and install bolts.

  • Provide resources and information for slackline and highline location and best rigging practices

  • Provide rigging clinics and other training opportunities (like Wilderness First Aid Training)

  • Organize events, gatherings, and competitions to keep us all social and connected

  • Connect slackliners in our region with the larger Provincial, National and International Slackline community

  • Provide the opportunity for mentorship of all levels of slacklining
